Downey Chase, a name that might evoke visions of a hero from some weathered cowboy novel, is the newest project of Nic Lussier (known by some as co-founder/member of indie-rock group The Brazen Youth). Downey Chase is part alter-ego, part romanticized musings, & part unfiltered authenticity. For Lussier, it's a foray into uncharted territory & a venture of self-reliance.

With his debut single, “I Spin”, Downey Chase hopes to convey images of nature & the movement of life through introspective storytelling.

Currently residing in Boulder, CO, Nic finds solace in the melodic wisdom of folk icons like Bob Dylan, Adrianne Lenker, and Gregory Alan Isakov.
